The 2012 edition (patronized by MiBAC – Ministry of Culture, MAE – Ministry for Foreign Affairs, AIAC – Italian Association of Classical Archaeology, SAIA – Italian Archaeology School of Athens) was structured in various appointments inaugurated by a press conference on June 18th at the Protomoteca Capitolina.

The event supported by Roma Capitale, in the person of On.le Dario Nanni, was carried out at the presence of the organizers, the curators, the promoters of the cultural initiatives, the editors, the journalists and the political and cultural authorities that have patronized the Fair of Archaeological Publishing.

The inaugural event proceeded with a tasting of ancient Rome’s flavours, with the collaboration of Gruppo Storico Romano, in the event “Echoes of flavours from antiquity” (curate by Simona Sanchirico), and arrived to a conclusion in the afternoon with the panel discussion “To live archaeology, to live of archaeology” and the presentation of the records of the second edition of the convention “Anthropology and Archaeology compared: representation and practices of the sacred”.
